Spring 2022 Course Evaluations

his lectures than can last upwards of 30 minutes at a time making it hard to focus on legal takeaways. The TA hasn’t been in class and has not been reviewing materials beyond one review session held early on. This furthers the lack of quality education on such an important bar tested course. I will be actively recommending that my peers save their time and energy and avoid taking this class. It’s helpful when Professor Pizzano lets us know what he expects to get through in a given week since the syllabus is a list of assigned reading without dates. I looked this up after it was quoted in class, but "To err is human; to forgive, divine" was Alexander Pope, not Shakespeare. I wish the TA was more involved since they set up the - expectation - of participation for reviews. Although this class and the methodology of teaching is excellent and easy to digest; I would suggest, if a TA is not expected to be involved in reviewing course material through the course of the semester then to not set up the expectation as such. Powerpoints in class could be helpful More slideshows to breakdown material. I loved learning through the stories, it was alittle hard to grab the right amount of stuff for notes. We were provided with a "reading assignment" document as opposed to a syllabus. The reading assignment did not include any dates, so it was difficult to plan accordingly. I also felt a bit lost at times when we would start class because I could not pinpoint where exactly we were.
