accurate information in my notes Professor Shin was amazing, he explained every concept in a way that allowed the class to follow along no matter how confusing the material may be. Clear and straightforward slides, clear instruction from professor, readings that weren’t too excessive but really allowed us to gain knowledge The TA really helped me out with understanding the materials, as well as the class discussions and hypos In class hypotheticals Dean Shin was the most organized Professor I have ever had. We always knew what to expect in class, and we almost always covered everything in class that had been assigned for homework. His powerpoints adequately summarize the material, and he makes sure to answer questions thoroughly throughout class. Professor went over a lot of hypos that helped me understand the subject material from various perspectives. Dean Shin’s passion for this material and overall organizational/lecture methods were fundamental to my success in this class. He presented the information in a manner that was easy to understand and added aspects (such as economic perspectives), which helped me relate the material to the real world. Overall, this course has been one of my favorite courses during 1L and I would highly recommend Dean Shin as a professor. Very effective lectures, hypos were extremely helpful to illustrate rules and their nuances, as well as PowerPoints were very effective!! Dean Shin’s teaching style was very effective at getting the necessary information across. I felt that his teaching style with powerpoints and hypos really helped me understand how tort law works. Professor Shin is intelligent, funny, engaging, kind, and caring. He is soft spoken, incredibly knowledgable, and just a great teacher.
