In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development?

idk had to practice patience No, it did not, I can’t say that it benefitted my professional or intellectual development. I often conferred with my peers that Eisenstat’s hypotheticals are distractingly unhelpful. He is incompetent. I’ve heard great stuff about him. I’m sure back in his day he was great. But, he was not professional. He was an impediment to my development. My knowledge of torts and negligence in general Made me think differently about the legal system. I think Torts benefitted me in the sense that it was the most applicable course I’ve taken in law school so far. Most lawsuits are torts and I think this class helped show me that. I appreciate his practice essays that he gives us once in a while. It helps with digesting the material and it’s a good sort of intellectual pit stop to make sure we understand how to apply the concepts we’ve learned. Tort law is incredibly prevalent in the real world, so I will take this knowledge with me professionally and personally. Definitely helped with seeking out how slight details can change an outcome when rules are applied. Torts are an essential piece of legal knowledge and the course will naturally benefit me just by having an understanding of it. Best 1L class apart from LPS. Learning about how judges and juries are relevant in the process of torts cases helped me understand how everything plays out in a real life scenario incredible teaching style things i am interested in and have seen in my legal experience so far. great to get the knowledge in the classroom and Eisenstat is a great professor. It taught me how an ineffective offensive teacher behaves and taught me what not to do. It taught me how to be self sufficient when faced with an incompetent leader. I believe that after this semester and due to Professor Eisenstat’s help, I have a solid understanding of tort law and even better understand criminal law than I did last semester.
