Spring 2022 Course Evaluations

I really liked the direct incorporation of the E and E book into the syllabus. I also liked how Prof. Glannon moved around the room to engage each student in the learning process. I also really appreciated the quizzes as they forced me to stay on top of the material throughout the semester. The casebook readings that were assigned were really helpful in understanding the different concepts. Option Midterm. Having lots of hypos provided and discussed helped to navigate topics when they were unclear. Professor Glannon has been the best first year teacher I have had. He truly cares about his students and fosters a learning environment where everyone can contribute. His was the only class I really felt comfortable voluntarily participating in. Plus, he made the material interesting and engaging. He articulated the concepts in an understandable manner and reinforces that through clarifying hypos that call out the subtitles of issues that we need to wrap our heads around. Further the regular quizzes were a great way to condense knowledge for big concepts and have us keep on tack with the material. Professor Glannon provided for engaging class discussions Torts with Professor Glannon was such a blessing to take. He helped me understand the material so well by providing a thousand hypos which I was so grateful for because the repetition helped the concepts stick in my head. His teaching style of repetition is key to understanding the course and I never felt confused or lost in the material because he did such a tremendous job at explaining everything. I felt that the quizzes were an efficient way to review and gauge our understanding of the materials. I also thought Professor Glannon’s use of in-class hypotheticals assisted with our application of rules and doctrines to diverse factual scenarios. Overall, I found Professor Glannon’s instruction very effective. Professor Glannon’s hypos and constant call for class participation helped us to actively engage with the material and our classmates. This helps to really solidify the material and also expand our knowledge of how it is applied.
