In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development?

Torts benefitted my professional and intellectual development because Professor Glannon taught it so clearly, it was easy to understand, which is crucial for the bar exam. different ways to think / argue points

Professor Glannon’s questions are difficult, but make you think. Prof. Glannon regularly discusses litigation tactics in class

Torts is an area of the law that impacts everyday life and is useful to have a knowledge of. I have no interest in being a personal injury attorney, but it is interesting to learn how it works. I feel as though I have a better understanding of torts. - Prof. Glannon made a lot of hypos to make sure everyone understood the concept we were on & if someone did not understand, he would stop and explain it fully until we understood. It increased my interest in fields that incorporate Torts law. It deepened my analysis skills and taught me so much about the tort system and civil procedure. Torts was useful in considering an entire problem, and not hyper-focusing on small issues and thus leaving others out of consideration. It challenged me to think critically and intuitively, as there is not always a straightforward answer to each question. I can say I am walking out of torts with more than a basic understanding of the subject, torts is used in so many areas of law and will be extremely helpful. Beyond knowing the specifics of the course material, the class opened my eyes to what an interesting field personal injury is. While I was not interested in the field in the past, after taking his course I would 100% consider exploring personal injury law. Feel like I understand torts and am confident in my knowledge in this area for future classes I think this class has taught me to be less afraid of being cold called. He so often does it that there is less pressure when you are wrong because he works with you to get through the issue. I was able to leave every class feeling like I understood the material better than I did prior to going to class. I gained an understanding of the foundations of torts law that I will go on to use in my future legal career. It also made me realize that this is the type of law I wish to practice. It required me to formulate clear answers on the spot This class changed the way I think about the world. I have a new found respect for the law of torts. I believe that through discussions and assignments done, I have gained an array of knowledge in torts that will be beneficial for me to carry on throughout my legal career. The course had parallels to law in practice and tied in concepts of how lawyers work and think in general. I feel like I not only learned the substance of torts but also the reasons behind why
