PROGRAM OF STUDY
Academic Warning Students placed on Academic Warning during or after the completion of their first year must complete the following academic requirements in addition to non-academic requirements (2 CLE programs and 50 hours of practical training) to meet degree requirements:
Business Entity Fundamentals (4)
Commercial Law Survey (4); or Commercial Law Sales (2) and Secured Transactions (3)
Criminal Procedure (3)
Evidence (4)
Family Law (3)
Fundamentals of Law I (2 credits) and Fundamentals of Law II (2 credits) - must be taken in the student’s final fall and spring semesters.
Legal Analysis & Methods (2) - must be taken no later than the fall semester of the student's second year.
Advanced Legal Analysis (1) - must be taken in the spring semester of the student’s second year.
Trusts and Estates (4)
With the exception of Legal Analysis & Methods (which must be taken no later than the fall semester of the second year), Advanced Legal Analysis which must be taken in the Spring semester of the second year, and Fundamentals of Law I and II (which must be taken in the student’s final fall and spring semesters), these courses may be taken at any time prior to graduation. Students on Academic Warning remain subject to all other graduation requirements. It is recommended that students not wait to complete Academic Warning courses until the final semester of law school.
