BAR INFORMATION

Registering for the Bar as a Student Below is the list of states that require registration as a law student. This information was compiled from the Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission Requirements 2023 (compiled by the National Conference of Bar Examiners and the American Bar Association). If you are planning to sit for the bar in any of these states, please complete the State Bar online registration at the links below.

It is also suggested that you review all bar admission requirements for the state in which you intend to practice. A complete listing of all State Board of Bar Examiners is listed HERE.

FIRST YEAR

Alabama , within 60 days of starting law school https://www.alabar.org/admissions/

SECOND YEAR

Mississippi , by October 1st of applicant’s second year of law school https://courts.ms.gov/bar/baradmissions/baradmissions.php
