OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

What did you like most about the online portion of the course and what areas could be improved? asyncronous - could do it at my own time I liked that the lessons were recorded with interactive questions to keep me focused. I really did not like the structure of the real property section. I wish that section was structured the way the first few modules were. Asynchronous I liked the lectures and the animated videos. I wish Professor DeFabriitis would email us more consistently with weekly updates about where we should be, and have the email be at the beginning of the week every week (on the same day). At times, it got confusing to follow with some people working ahead/falling behind, and it became difficult to know which week we were supposed to be in. I loved the fact that this bar prep course was available to me as an evening law student who works full-time and also needed to take advantage of the school ' s law clinics to get experience before graduation. So this online portion was incredibly helpful in giving me the flexibility to handle all of this. I liked the flexibility, but I did not like the format of the most recent module, as I stated above. I liked the flexibility of being asynchronous. I have taken previous "asynchronous" classes, but there were multiple due dates each week, so there wasn ' t as much flexibility as I thought there should be. In this course, there were only a handful of actual due dates where assignments were reviewed and graded by the professor (which was great). I loved the flexibility and the fact that I could just soak in the material at my own pace. Doing the course on my own time was helpful The flexibility to do the online lectures was great. It is a significant amount of work/time though, especially for a two credit course.
