OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? A hands on real life negotiation is amazing practice for the real world of transactional law and it is great to start here in a low-stakes environment for practice. n/a Specifically, I really liked the negotiation assignment and how we took what we learned in class to simulate a real-life negotiation as the manager vs. the band. Professor Gaglini gave us so many tips throughout the semester that will benefit us in a professional setting regarding dealing with lawyers, managers, agents, and so forth in this sphere. Hearing personal stories about what the industry is like Really appreciated Professor Gaglini ' s real life examples of client experiences. I found the lesson on the children tv series to be shocking and well worth the time spent showing us the portion of the show. It was one thing to read it in a book, but to see this show it was just shocking and taught in a way that will not let you forget why it is so important to read contracts for minors and also take a step back and observe what happened due to a severe contract. This gave me an opportunity to apply some of the skills I learned in negotiation to a subject area that interested me. The tips and negotiating is definitely something I think will benefit my professional development
