OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

What aspect(s) of the course or instruction could be improved? We didn ' t get deep on any subjects. There was not much room for discussion. She spoke a lot about her personal views and I am here to learn the law. see above My only issue / instruction that could be improved with the class would be a more detailed syllabus in terms of structure and information regarding the negotiation and the final exam. We still don ' t know much information about the final or when she ' s going to give it to us and it ' s mid November. Other than that, I loved the class and I think on the day-to-day Professor Gaglini is a great instructor and conveys the material very well, so I did learn a lot of helpful negotiation tips and entertainment law in general! none Really enjoyed negotiating, but wish it occurred earlier in the semester so that it wasn ' t crammed during a time of travel and almost finals. I think it was such a great experience and would be more engaging for some if it were a few weeks earlier in the semester. Some of the material we read did not seem entirely on point. Josh Hawley ' s book was pretty self serving and it was tough to stomach him comparing himself to Teddy Roosevelt just because he had a meeting with Zuckerberg. Big tech and its impact on the entertainment world is certainly something that needs to be discussed in a class about entertainment law, but would probably have been better suited towards the middle of the semester, once we had a general understanding of legal principles within the entertainment world. Stop assigning entire books to be read in one class period and barely talk about them, providing students with concrete takeaways, or teaching how to apply what we’ve learned literally at all, give more opportunities to gauge if we’ve learned anything before giving an incredibly difficult take home exam that I have never felt more I’ll equipped to handle. We did not do a single practice question to prepare for the exam.
