OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations
I think the assignments could be communicated more clearly. It seemed disorganized with emails being sent for the readings. The first half of the class, before the midterm, seemed fully fleshed out and the material was covered thoroughly. The second half of the class seemed to move at a less deliberate pace. It seemed as if we were covering the material in relation to the other class and the end of the semester, rather than an adequate understanding of the material. Questions- I found sometimes they ' d be re-directed and hard to follow. I also think the work overloaded having the class thrice a week. 1. I really did not like having class 3 times a week. Too much reading was at times assigned for a 55-minute lecture. 2. When a student asks a question, I think it should be the teacher to answer the question vs outsourcing the opportunity to answer to another student in class. 3. I believe this should be a year-long class; cramming too much into one semester is too much. Having more of a connection between the two books that we used would be useful, as I felt a disconnect between the content in the two textbooks for the entire semester. I found the questions and examples of the syllabus to be extremely helpful so adding a few more would only help other students grasp the concepts more clearly The possibility of online class Instruction promoted stressful learning environment, taking away from focus on the material. Questions answered vaguely. n/a It would have been very helpful to have the Practice Perfect videos for Civil Procedure at no extra cost. I think the idea of cold calling can be slightly stressful, but overall it kept me motivated to be prepared for class. Less expensive books
