In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? Professor Glannon expects professionalism and a level of preparation for class that none of my other professors expect. This required me to learn much more and pay more attention in class. I am not sure yet. It will hopefully come in handy in law practice. Kept me disciplined. Gained a better understanding of the process of civil procedure Not being allowed technology in the classroom was helpful to limit distractions Through civil procedure, I gained an in-depth understanding of how civil cases are handled in the judicial system. I did not come from a law type background and found the material very interesting and engaging. This class was by far my favorite but really pushed me. It was hard. But, I feel as though I learned so much. It taught me to keep asking for help, keep asking questions, and just volunteer in class-- the worst you can be is wrong. Prof. Glannon is encouraging and helpful. The class got me more interested in litigation. It was a challenging course, but I know that it will be fundamental throughout the rest of my law career. Professor Glannon asking students to present opinions as if they were arguing in court was helpful in understanding the ways to properly articulate a point in a professional context. I have a better understanding of the federal and state court systems at large and the rules associated with said systems. not sure This class taught me how to be a law student. Professor Glannon took a challenging topic and made it fun and interesting. Time discipline. I became more confident speaking in class and the lack of technology improved my focus and overall understanding. I think this class helped me to grow my foundational civil procedure skills for my professional career. I have a much stronger understanding of the rules of procedure and the creation of a civil case. The act of cold calling did help me, even though it was a tough way to start Law School, as I felt like I was being tossed into the deep end right from the beginning I feel like knowing the basics of the litigation process in regards to procedure is key to the practice of any lawyer no matter the branch they practice Professor Glannon was engaged with class and allowed us all to speak, worked through our thoughts with us, and made sure we were on the right track. Professor Glannon ' s instruction really boosted my interest in the law more generally and helped me to think about my career after school. He often offered insight based on his prior experience,
