The TA slides were also very helpful. I found the TA review sessions really helped to solidify my understanding of the concepts and review material if I was confused. The E&E is a great learning tool. The quizzes and midterm were good ways to test our knowledge. I found that the manner in which he taught was very rule heavy and great to follow. While I didn ' t enjoy not being able to have computers during class, it definitely helped me pay attention during class and forced me to be more prepared mentally for class the questions included within each section of the syllabus were really helpful when trying to grasp each rule in terms of actual practice Professor Glannon was overall a very great professor. He made a fairly boring subject into something that ended up being my favorite. All parts of his instruction enhanced our learning. Professor Glannon is a very effective teacher. He asks a lot from his students but rewards the effort by always being prepared with a diversion into something funny or interesting if we cover a topic quickly or need a mid-lecture jolt to keep us paying attention. He can tell when the class is bored and often changes gears abruptly to keep things interesting and engaging. Class discussion often feels like an actual conversation and you always get the sense that he is working through the problem with you and respects your opinion. He was very approachable and always available to meet outside of class. I would recommend his class strongly and would take another. Cold calling. I thought I would not like it, but cold calling helped me stay engaged and focused and I ' m very glad Professor Glannon used it. Professor Glannon is great at explaining concepts so I felt engaged and interested in every class. The book was written so well I wish Glannon had written all my other text books
