OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? The entire course Provided me further room to grow and areas of inclusion to consider that I had not previously. It gave me more skills to reflect on the system I hope to improve, along with skills on reflecting about my communication skills with individuals from different backgrounds than me. I think it helped me start the process of minimizing my own biases and recognizing when others need to have theirs checked. Professor Johnson was always honest and open about how these topics played out in real life, she was vulnerable with us by providing her own experiences with access to justice issues and how she ' s seen things play out in the real world and I really appreciated that, I think it gave the topics we discussed more weight. This class reminded me why I wanted to go to law school in the first place, and focused on part of the legal field that I am passionate about. I really enjoyed the guest lecturers who were brought into this course. It was a wide variety of guest lecturers which helped give different perspectives on the topics.
