OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

What did you like most about the online portion of the course and what areas could be improved? I liked that it was offered online, yet in my opinion Professor Lipshaw has a difficult time conducting class online and encouraging participation. Again, I love Professor Lipshaw. He makes the class fun and requires participation that gets everyone involved. He makes it so even when people are afraid to speak in front of the group to participate can do so via polling questions. As stated above, when professors lecture for two hours straight, it is difficult to stay focused - even with the polling questions professor Lipshaw provided. More engagement with students would have helped. The online portion allowed me to have flexibility with my law school schedule. The zoom course went smoothly and I do not have any suggestions for how the online delivery could be improved. I liked how Professor Lipshaw utilized the zoom polling function for participation. Quizzes, helped me check in on myself to ensure I was learning the materials. It was convenient for my work schedule but I would like to have more time for discussion in each class. Prof. Lipshaw discussed each case with a detailed background, which helped us to understand principles behind the case.
