In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? Yes, explains ways to handle situations in the real world that can avoid a malpractice suit. I am working in the real estate practice area and we work with complicated organizational structures and sometimes coordinate with accounting relative to the organizational structures of our entities, so this class provided me knowledge that I could apply directly to my work experience. Great overview of the business law fundamentals - I feel prepared with a good baseline for any upper level classes in this area. Professor Lipshaw ' s case recaps in his class slides benefitted my intellectual development because he simplified complicated fact patterns in cases so that the class attention could focus more on the underlying material within the cases. In addition, I enjoyed Professor Lipshaw ' s online unit exercises (e.g., Fat Blueberry exercise), which helped me learn the material. enhanced my understanding of how corporations are formed and the legal implications of running a business in a certain way. baseline understanding of topics Real life application of legal principles. Especially to the professors own career. I better understand the shape of the corporate world, and both the terminology used and the decisions made in that world.
