OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? The quizzes are extremely helpful for checking my knowledge throughout the semester to make sure I am on track and on par with the rest of the class. Professor Lipshaw uses current events in a very effective way to provide context for concepts we are learning in class. He is respectful, thorough, and honest in responding to student questions. His lectures are clear, organized, and just humorous enough to keep us engaged. This is my third semester taking a course with Professor Lipshaw and I was absolutely delighted to be able to take this section with him. I hope I get an opportunity to take another course with him before he retires from teaching. Professor Lipshaw provides real world examples in his teaching that allows me to understand business concepts better than reading from a book. He provided class notes as well as power points after class, which was extremely helpful. His class notes are very detailed and helped me absorb the material after classes. I love when professors implement quizzes. I think it takes the pressure off during exams if you do well and it helps you practice for exams at the same time. This was a challenging course and the unit quizzes really kept me accountable for keeping on top of the material, even when I could feel myself getting confused. It also served as a nice confidence boost. The polling questions also kept me engaged throughout class. Professor Lipshaw is an engaging lecturer who is very knowledgable on the course material and explains it effectively. In particular, I appreciate how Professor Lipshaw makes his unit notes available after the end of each unit so that I can prepare for the unit quizzes and final. Enhanced my understanding of business The Power Point presentations, class notes, and quizzes. in person Quizzes and polling questions I appreciated the consistent visual aids that came with most cases and most of the more complex concepts. The notes provided by Prof. Lipshaw are very useful to read.
