OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

considering the relationships, landlord remedies, or freehold estates. It allowed me to think outside the box as I sometimes had to teach myself the material. I had a very hard time keeping up with property law. I feel like we learned random things about trusts, estates, and contracts, and very little about property law. Property is very relevant to everyday life; even if I don ' t have a career in property law, what we learned in this class will help in life. I think property demonstrated how prepared you have to be in the real world It benefitted me by helping me to pay closer attention to every word. Normally my brain corrects typos as I read, but paying close attention to commas and double ands are essential in the reading of most property law material. Helps with my job in real estate law. I feel like I learned the most during property because everything was completely foreign before this course and the way in which we diligently studied the material without outside influence was refreshingly predictable. I feel like the concepts I learned from property will apply to other courses such as contracts or more advanced real estate courses. It has helped me understand that there are multiple point of views and even if you don’t agree with them you have to engage with them This class challenged me intellectually because it isn ' t necessarily a topic that I am super interested in, so working through the concepts was beneficial. I enjoyed the readings and thought they were very beneficial While the material was interesting, it is not an area of law that I expect to practice. Nonetheless, it is likely among the more practical 1L courses. Additionally, it is the only class this semester with consistent cold-calling, so was a helpful introduction to that. I enjoyed how it gave me the chance to learn in an organized, structured, and straightforward
