OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

the potential legal implications of leasing, owning, and conveying property and how important proper drafting is. I assumed going into Property that this would be more of a black and white type of course; Professor Griffith very much proved me wrong and helped me continue to develop my critical thinking skills. I have developed an interest in Property since meeting Professor Griffith and now intend to research different career paths within this field. As I said, I fully expected property law to be of little interest to me coming in to school. Professor Griffith and her choice of materials completely changed my mind and opened me to a new field I had previously never considered. I am constantly saying that I feel the most like a law student/lawyer in her class and I feel extremely prepared to take on more property materials and matters coming out of her class. Demanded such a high-level of understanding, was great practice. It was very challenging but Professor Griffith made me feel like its possible to understand it I based my reading and briefing in all my classes on skills I learned in Property. Professor Griffith gave us an excellent briefing outline which allowed for careful reading and comprehension of the materials and cases presented. This was absolutely vital to my learning this semester. It benefited my professional and intellectual development by introducing me to complex subjects and forcing me to examine them readily. Taught me very difficult concepts that are tough to learn and are crucial to passing the bar examination. Honestly, I ' m not sure yet! Property isn ' t my least favorite subject but I also don ' t really see myself going into property law as of right now. Nonetheless, I recognize the importance of learning about property so I do enjoy the class information on a bar-tested subject I found that property touch on other areas of law such as estates which could be beneficial in the future. It brought to my attention how to consider policy implications in law The questions asked in class ensured that I read and fully understood the material, and her questions helped to guide my legal analysis. The subject matter of property is very different from what I have learned before. I was able to learn about a subject that I did not have any prior knowledge on even though it is a field of the law that I most likely will not be practicing. Professor Griffith allowed all students to ask questions freely and without judgement. The questions of my classmates allowed me to think about different topics in a different light that sparked my intellectual development. Property exposed me to an area of the law which I had little knowledge about previously. It also really taught me how to read a case and the essential information to look for.
