OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

I enjoyed the PowerPoints created for our class as well as how the TA emailed us supplemental materials. I think Professor Griffith did a great job of going over the work and emphasizing the material that was important to know. Adhering strictly to the textbook and thoroughly examining the cases therein. I absolutely loved this class, easily my favorite class of 1L. Professor Griffith provided the most straight forward teaching style that I perhaps have ever seen. I feel like Professor Griffith perfectly complimented the reading and I always leave her class feeling confident. about what I ' ve read previously. Professor Griffith is a wonderful professor and person. Property Law was my biggest surprise of law school thus far, and Professor Griffith is to thank for that. I fully expected not to enjoy the course, but thanks to her abundantly clear instruction and commitment to our understanding, coupled with her lovely demeanor and dry humor, I have fallen in love with property law. Professor Griffith takes so much time to devote to our understanding of each concept, providing us with supplemental materials, quizzes, access to her, question and discussion time in class, word documents with definitions, and tons of examples. She takes the time to work through casebook problems with us and she answers all questions thoroughly and respectfully. She manages class time extremely well, and I find it completely impossible to leave her class confused because she is so, so clear. She is always extremely prepared, her cold-calls are very fair and she is helpful and without judgement when a student struggles. She consistently warned us of difficult chapters, reminding us when to devote extra time to certain concepts, and keeping us up to date with her expectations and scheduled plans for class. She is kind, warm, and completely dedicated to us, asking us how we ' re doing in school and beyond, and making sure we have everything we need to be successful. I can confidently say she is my favorite professor, and that she has fostered a passion of property law within me. Very thankful to have had her and I truly hope to have her again. The way the class was structured really was suitable for learning. We always knew what to expect and knew how to do well from the start. Professor Griffith made the class seem approachable despite the material being rather dense. I think that she made an effort to encourage us rather than make us feel dumb for not completely understanding the material right away as she correctly named which sections would be more difficult to grasp and she met us where we were at. Professor Griffith was always ready to answer questions after class, and did so with both mastery of and joy for the topic. I also particularly liked the textbook, which I thought was well organized and informative. Both the book and the classes flowed well. I really appreciated how structured the class was. We always knew exactly what was expected of us in and out of the classroom. For me, there was never any ambiguity surrounding how best to perform
