Fall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? I truly feel that I am coming out of this class as a much better negotiator than I came into it as. also the practice negotiations This was the best class I ' ve taken all semester, and one of the few that I feel taught me practical skills that can be used both in everyday life and legal practice. I negotiate in my job and I’ve already applied what I learned. It helped my oral and advocacy skills I have a deeper sense of my strengths and weaknesses as a negotiator and I have more confidence with my oral advocacy skills. Being able to work at a law firm throughout the semester really showed me how important what we were learning in class was to real world negotiations or even just professional dealings. I think it helped me to recognize that type of negotiator I am which is crucial to finding both your strengths and weaknesses and being aware of those. This course helped me to conceptualize and put into practice certain skills and ideas. We were able to read and apply the information in each class as well as debriefing what happened to benefit our future practice. I feel so much more prepared to actually practice the law because I learned the people skills but also analytical skills in terms of looking at the facts of a case and understanding how I can use them
