In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? Taught me a lot of practical knowledge that will be useful in my career Insight into the rules and regulations surrounding corporate mergers and acquisitions I am starting to think about working in the field of mergers and acquisitions because i found the class interesting I really enjoyed the fact that professor Franco brought in guest lectures of real lawyers who are working in M&A. It helped me contextualize the work our M&A team does at our firm. I am interested in focusing my practice on M&A work, and therefore found the course to be invaluable. The class reinforced my understanding of business fundamentals and provided me with a better understanding of acquisition deals and the important considerations that go into such transactions. We learned a lot about all the considerations and factors that go into a successful transaction. We also saw all the different legal issues that arise. I feel like I have a better understanding of how these issues arise in real-life M&A world now.
