Spring 2022 Course Evaluations

Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? Professor Simard is an amazing and engaging teacher who makes difficult concepts easier to understand. Engaging discussions, focus on 1 or 2 cases and the FRCP rather than learn through strictly case law. Professor Simard is a great Professor who is very organized and presents material very effectively. the practice questions in class to go over different hypos really helped to understand the material and rules. I liked the poll everywhere questions, it helped me to gauge my understanding of the material while in class. the practice perfect videos Professor Simard’s practice questions in class are SO helpful. I really struggled with tying all of the FRCP rules together before she ran through examples in class. Diagramming litigation, and use of flowcharts to understand how various rules are applied. Prof. Simard was extremely engaging and her use of hypos was very illustrative. The way Prof. Simard teaches is very intuitive. The ppts are well designed to perfectly explain the rules and cases. The practice perfect series most enhanced my learning of the material in class. I really loved the Practice Perfect supplement created in part by Prof. Simard. It helped me tremendously grasp the material, especially for topics that were relatively more difficult than others. The hypos helped lock in the material that could otherwise feel like a bunch of disjointed numbers.
