Spring 2022 Course Evaluations
In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development?
It is the building block for classes I will be taking in the fall i learned a lot that will help for the bar
it did not because of Pizzano’s demeanor and incapability to give instructions and explanations well Professor Pizzano stays up to date with what is being tested on the bar so it is very helpful to know he has our best interest when he reviews materials. The most helpful thing was going over review questions in class together and talking about the best way to approach the question. That was the class where I felt most engaged and like I was really learning how to apply the concepts. agency principles are everywhere! at this point TBD because I need to sit down and actually study, however from what I can recall so far it has helped my understand the how businesses are created. Still figuring out the legal part. I think the discussion of agency will be particularly helpful to my own professional development, as I am currently interested in civil litigation, specifically personal injury. The topics covered in this class gave me knowledge that will be useful for this area of law. As my first class involving corporate law, I think it also has given me a more well-rounded legal education and will be helpful when it comes time to take the bar exam. I took this course to prepare for the bar (I have no interest in business law) and I feel like it was useful. I am glad I took it. Gave me a better understanding of businesses as a whole. I feel more prepared for the bar as a result of learning in this class. Frankly, it didn’t. I don’t feel that I could discuss in any significant detail a single topic from this course and I am certain that I will be starting from scratch when I begin studying for the bar. I’ve gotten a solid foundation in business entities. Has made me more knowledgable about the material and how it pertains both to current events (Elon Musk/Twitter) and my career in law (how to address clients) Mostly to neatly tie together other core concepts of law school in a manner that truly felt "complete." This course helped masterfully tie areas of contract, civ pro, ethics, tax (limited), and tort law. I use the information from this course to professionally enhance my job to research corporations for the preparation of civil suits. I know it very well. Professor Pizzano is an awesome professor who genuinely cares about his students and also about the subject matter. Because of his knowledge about the subject, he turned a boring subject into an interesting one!
