Spring 2022 Course Evaluations

Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? Professor Glannon’s organized structure of the class and his quizzes helped enhance my learning because it made sure that I stayed on track and would help me evaluate my understanding of the material. examples and hypos The use of the E&E book, though professor often just teaches right out of it. Prof. Glannon is an extremely effective instructor. The class discussion. Professor Glannon is a wonderful instructor, and his E&E text is a godsend for clarifying confusing concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Professor Glannon does a great job helping students to apply the class concepts. He is an extremely effective teacher. All aspects- the way material was presented in class and in the E&E book, the quizzes, everything. I liked having the five open-book quizzes throughout the semester; it’s a low-pressure way to make sure we’re keeping up with the material. The cold-calling also motivates us to keep up with the material (but is done in such a way that it’s not the end of the world if we don’t know an answer). And each question is asked clearly, in order to elucidate a specific concept. (This is not the case in all of our courses). Getting emails letting us know exactly what to read for each class is really helpful too. I loved Glannon’s class. He has an engaging way of teaching what can sometimes be a complicated subject. I liked that he was very communicative with what was expected of us. You can tell he’s had a lot of experience teaching torts. He’s very good at it! Prof. Glannon always has an outgoing & optimistic attitude which makes class so much better. He always encourages questions & invites students to ask for help or clarification if needed. He is one of the best professors I have had. Professor Glannon was my favorite professor this semester. He was very knowledgeable in Torts and, combined with his E&E book, made the class very clear and easy to understand. The examples and explanations enhanced my learning. Professor Glannon explains things very thoroughly, provides many opportunities for students to ask questions, and the textbook and E&E were helpful. Prof. Glannon was exceptional in his usage of hypotheticals to effectively demonstrate the material he was covering. His ability to include variations of hypotheticals to highlights key differences which will ultimately lead to different outcomes was a tremendous style in order to ensure students picked up on issue spotting. 6
