Spring 2022 Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development?

It helped me look at cases differently, considering different factors which weigh on the ultimate holding even when it is not explicit in the reasoning. It helped me speak more in class and gave me a greater understanding of court scrunity. Helped study the topics in a critical way which other classes such as survey classes do not. I learned to think more deeply and critically about issues and cases that I was already aware of, but went more in depth with. Helped me gain a better appreciation for discrimination and its influence in the law I enjoyed the class discussions and thought they were always engaging and intellectually stimulating. Unfortunately, bc of how well he taught the course and the material, this course has made me view the SCOTUS very cynically (and rightfully so).
