Spring 2022 Course Evaluations
learn in this class given the way it currently is structured - hurts students more than it helps them because we don’t have the bandwidth for it. Either increase the number of credits this class is to at least 6 or 8 credits or restructure how the evaluations. There is no need to have a midterm and final exam that is simulating the bar exam at this point. What would be more helpful would be to have smaller and more frequent evaluations with shorter lesson plans - even if the class isn’t a comprehensive bar review - that’s fine, its better to just help 3Ls get lightly familiar with this material again which they haven’t seen in two years before they dive into official bar prep over the summer. Also, this class should absolutely be Pass/Fail. Again, if the intent behind this class is to help students prepare for the bar exam and to help students who did not do particularly well during 1L, then there is no reason for A/B/C/ grading system. Either make this class a 100% supportive and helpful guiding resource for students, or don’t offer it, because they way it is currently administered is more harmful than helpful because its administered during a time when students are their busiest and this course as it is requires a student’s undivided attention.
