OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations
Additional comments Each class we would go through a roadmap of what is to come in the following weeks. Although I do realize this can be helpful, I don ' t think it is necessary at the beginning of each class. I think we could save some time in class and add more time for breakout rooms if we skipped the weekly roadmap of what is next to come because we already discussed what will happen and the syllabus outlines it. I mainly mean just give a short description of what to prepare for next class, but we don ' t need an explanation at the beginning of class. Had very high hopes for the class to learn more about energy and environment law, but I feel as though I did not learn what I was hoping to. Professor Ferrey also has to be better about ending class at the cut-off time, but went over the 1:50 end time every single week. Having another class at 2, I had to leave at 1:50 but felt like I missed things because the professor continually went over the allotted times. If the rambling and tangents were kept in check, I don ' t think this would have been as big an issue. Overall, I think this course would be better if offered in person and used more updated materials. Prof. Ferrey is very intelligent but it would be helpful if he could simplify concepts a bit since students are typically new to this field of law it would be helpful to understand concepts if when we ask questions he could answer a little more concisely.
