class content could ' ve been more organized and clear. I think Professor Burstein is very intelligent but I think that she would be a better Professor for a 2 or 3L class. At times she gets very discouraged by questions that students ask or if students ask for additional resources. We have asked for example hypotheticals from her previous Civil Procedure classes that she taught and she said it wouldn ' t be helpful because it was a 6 credit course. Further she told us that the Hypothetical at the BALSA event wouldn ' t be helpful and would confuse us more since it is a different professor and she is looking for something different which is understandable but it would be helpful if she would provide some hypotheticals herself and a chance to review them in order to determine what it is she is looking for. Over all I have learned little during class time. The most I learn, lake the majority of students, is from the teaching assistant. And this is not personal at all. Like I said, Professor Burstein is brilliant and passionate. Outside the classroom she is truly inspiring. However I’m not convinced she’s the best to teach a 1L course. The majority of students are confused and lost including me. And we all try our best. But it seems no matter how hard the effort, we continue to get lost. We have learned more about parents than civil procedure and the federal rules and how to apply them. The professor was incredibly rude when students asked questions, she would roll her eyes and sigh or just dismiss the question all together. Also, she refused to give any help outside of class time (ex. would tell students to meet with the TA instead of meeting with students for office ours, refused to provide hypos or any practice questions) Professor Burstein is clearly very intelligent, but she struggled to figure out how to be patient with us while teaching this course which led to an incredible amount of animosity and uncomfortableness in the classroom. Professor Burstein was my least favorite professor this semester and one of my least favorite professors ever in higher education. I need it to be known that she is the only professor that did not designate time for us to complete this review in class. There was one class where she ended the class 30 minutes early, but did not indicate that we should use the time in this way nor did she leave the room for 10-15 minutes like our other professors did. Huge shoutout to Nathan Andrews (TA). He is a natural teacher and very clear in his review sessions. the worst professor at Suffolk University law School First I would like to say that I have spoken to several women in my class to ensure my views on this are not unduly biased against a relatively young woman professor. Prof Burstein raised concerns in class that young men are often to hard on young women professors, so I want to make it clear I take that issue seriously. I strongly feel that Prof. Burstein ' s twitter career is much more important to her than our CivPro class, and our class suffered as a result.
