OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

What did you like most about the online portion of the course and what areas could be improved? flexibility, open class discussion N/A on improvements I enjoyed the online portion because it gave me flexibility with my schedule and I think this class is just as effective online. More breakout rooms/group assignments (ungraded) might have helped. I found that I learned the material better when I talked it out with a small group before going over the assignment as a whole class. Participation is really lacking online. The flexibility of viewing classes anywhere is an added benefit. While I mostly took the classes from the school building anyways, there were a few times when I was traveling, and I appreciated still being able to log in and attend class from anywhere. To improve online learning, it ' s key to really build out the classroom dynamic and make it a community feel. This means working extra hard to encourage student participation, make the class lively, and make students of the class more of a community during the course. Prof. Ferrey is an absolute gem, really a great/engaging professor. I looked forward to our classes, and he ' s just a wonderful teacher. I can ' t say the subject is my favorite, but I appreciate how useful this course will be in my future job.
