What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? smaller class room - group effort on exercises Ferrey brings in a lot of outside knowledge about contracts I really felt like the exercises we did that he created helped as well as the exercises in the book. Reading about how to draft contracts makes sense at first, but then when you go to do it, it is extremely daunting. I enjoyed reviewing the homework during class. It was a pressure free environment that allowed you to hear from other classmates and made the class a hands-on learning experience. The practical exercises, though not explained well, gave plenty of experience with drafting. Professor Ferrey is an excellent educator, and his experience and enthusiasm for the subject really shined through in this course. Hearing his real-world examples, listening to his experience, and reviewing real-world problems in class helped deepened my understanding of the material. Additionally, the assignments and problems added a nice element to the class, giving me the opportunity to actually practice drafting and revisiting contracts, which I enjoyed. Even though it always put us on the spot (in a small class), I ultimately appreciated how Prof. Ferrey had us go over each assignment carefully and engaged the class in discussion. It forced me to pay much closer attention, come to class better prepared/ready to participate. I also really liked how Prof. Ferrey would apply the lesson/building block to a "real world" example or something in the media (like a Red Sox contract) so we could see the real-life application (and did so in an amusing way).
