OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? I learned a lot regarding marital property which is something I like to focus on in the near future. I learned a lot about a topic that I did not think I would like, I ended up loving it! Similar to Civil Procedure, I learned how to read critically, compose strong case briefs, and organize my thoughts in anticipation of being called on in class. I understand the basic ideas of property pretty well now! This was the only class this semester where the professor truly cold called, which was definitely conducive to my preparation. When I first started this course I really had no interest in or idea of what property law was. Prof. Infranca made it really interesting and property ended up being my favorite course this semester. It completely shifted the area of interest I came into 1L with. I ' m not too sure yet. It gave me information on a specific area of law that might be interesting in the future to continue to pursue. It benefited me in that I have a direction of an area I ' d like to focus in moving forward in my career. I enjoyed this class so much I know have a better idea of what I ' d like to do with the rest of my life. Not knowing what topic of the law I want to eventually dive into professionally, being a part of this course has made me excited to continue learning the law and maybe even go into property law of some kind professionally. this was the only class I had a midterm in so it helped me get acquainted with law school exams The way he taught really benefitted by intellectual development, as he makes you think a different way He always had ongoing debate and open conversation. He also did cold calling, which, while intimidating, made us all pay attention in class and be more engaged in the content. I learned a lot about property. I learned that I have a greater interest than I thought I did in going into property law. Property was my first ever law school exam so the process of studying for it was a significant milestone in my professional and intellectual development. Additionally, I read about court cases with lasting and significant implications for society along with the effects of various property law decisions. The content of the course seems relevant, given that a lot of the concepts covered in class are often seen in everyday life. I felt very engaged and encouraged to engage and participate, which offered a heightened sense of immediacy for the material and, in turn, what I got from it. This course truly fostered and increased my interest in property and I have a new appreciation for its intricacies. I ' m interested in this topic now.
