BAR INFORMATION
Registering for the Bar as a Student
Below is the list of states that require registration as a law student. This information was compiled from the Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission Requirements 2022 (compiled by the National Conference of Bar Examiners and the American Bar Association). If you are planning to sit for the bar in any of these states, please complete the State Bar online registration at the links below. Each student is advised to check with the Board of Bar Examiners in the jurisdiction in which she or he intends to take the Bar Examination. FIRST YEAR
Alabama , within 60 days of starting law school https://www.alabar.org/admissions/

SECOND YEAR

North Dakota , law students must file a registration application by October 1st of the second year of law school, or within 14 months after the first day of the first year of law school https://www.ndcourts.gov/supreme-court/committees/board-of-law-examiners/law-student-registration

Bar Cer t ification
Each student at the time of the bar application will be required to complete the Bar Authorization form, located on Web Advisor.
Bar Certificates are prepared by the Office of Academic Services for the Dean’s signature. Students are advised to submit Bar Certificates during their final semester of study to allow sufficient time for preparation and submission to the Supreme Judicial Court in Massachusetts, and for other states, the State Board of Bar Examiners. These forms require degree certification and cannot be mailed until after graduation occurs.
