In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development?

It is a deep historical context to how the country was formed I suppose it was beneficial in that Landers was not an approachable or clear professor. This helped benefit my ability to 1. handle future superiors who are not the most friendly in the workplace and 2. forced me to seek exterior help. none; I was very excited for this class and very disappointed. This class is important to me as I planned to be in the legislature. I find that the TA was very helpful in compressing the materials. I guess the course benefitted me in the sense that my approach to legal questions now consists of considering issues we learned of in the course. For example, now I consider whether controversies are moot, whether there is standing, etc. It helped me with my analytical skills and seeing how laws effect a wide array of things None n/a I learned to pay more attention to detail. Professor Landers brings her professional experience and broad civic engagement to the classroom. She is exactly the kind of involved and intelligent person I want to learn from and work for. It provided an understanding of the government and the constitution Learned about the Constitution N/A The class definitely helped me develop the ability to better extrapolate key takeaways from long texts. The readings for this class have been quite dense. It did not benefit my professional or intellectual Development. The course material is interesting and engaging I think the biggest takeaway is that, at times, all you need is a good argument to be able to win. That the smallest difference between precedent cases and your own case can be the loophole you need. Not at all. This class made me less confident in my professional and intellectual development Understanding the relationship between SCOTUS and the rest of the federal government and the relationship between the federal government and state/local government. I definitely view the Constitution as both a more structured, yet also malleable document depending on a WIDE variety of situations. Learning about fundamental rights and how they are guaranteed by the Constitution and how to interpret key language to enforce and uphold those rights. Also learning about the evolution of the Court’s rulings and how the way the Court decides depends heavily on political climate and
