Below are the responses to the three open-ended questions asked regarding the instructor and the course. Please note, student responses have not been edited in any way. Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? Professor Pizzano’s teaching style really helped me learn the material Use of real world examples frequent examples, essay questions in class the textbook. Pizzano is the worst teacher I have ever had in decades of learning. He did nothing to enhance my learning. Course recordings were EXTREMELY helpful. It’s easy to get distracted in class by the stories and the tangents, so it’s helpful to be able to re-watch class to pull out the important information. incorporating stories into the modules to make the cases and concepts easier to remember Professor Pizzano gives a fair amount of reading which made it easy to come prepared for class. Some of his stories helped me understand the topics better. I found going over past exam questions really helpful. It gave me a good idea of what was expected of me for the final and also was a good way to review different topic discussed throughout the semester. I also thought Professor Pizzano’s use of hypos were a good way to show how the cases and concepts work. Prof. Pizzano was hilarious - I really enjoyed all of his funny stories even if they distracted me from class at times. However, all of his silly anecdotes help you remember certain things - so I appreciated that! Professor Pizzano was able to clearly explain the material through real-life experiences. The textbook and lecture by the professor. I really enjoyed walking through practice exam questions as a class. This activity got the class engaged in conversation around how to apply the principles learned in lectures. The only helpful thing about this class is the textbook. I don’t feel that The Professor or the TA were helpful in my attempts to learn Business Entity Fundamentals Reviewing bar exam/past exams questions in class. All of it; enjoyable lecturer; regularly reviews material; expectations are clear; references to real-world examples; incorporates other aspects of law The relatability of Pizzano’s lectures helped tie in business concepts in easily understandable chunks with a "moral of the story" approach which I greatly appreciated to retain course concepts in a manner that felt like a casual conversation. This approach goes to show how comfortable and knowledgeable Pizzano is with the material to present it so that I remember it as well as apply it in everyday observations. Professor Pizzano ties in cases to stories which really helps you remember the law well. 6
