Spring 2022 Course Evaluations
situations, which required critical thinking skills. This course gave me exposure to different teaching styles. While I did not benefit from this particular teaching style, the exposure helped me figure out what I need to do in environments that are not the most conducive to my learning. This class encouraged me to take steps to teach myself the intricate nature of many of the doctrines and to take extensive notes on the dense note material of the case book. It benefited me by enhancing my methodology and how I should apply facts from particular cases to the rules we are given. This course benefitted my intellectual development by demonstrating a thorough history and growth of tort law over the last couple of hundred years--it was interesting to see the changes. Although I feel I had to trach torts to myself, after taking torts I feel confident and prepared for the torts portion of the bar. I feel that this class, while imperative to the legal career, was horribly taught. I taught myself the class and that is the only reason I even know a thing about torts.
