OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

Below are the responses to the three open-ended questions asked regarding the instructor and the course. Please note, student responses have not been edited in any way. Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? Having a set meeting time each week helped motivate me to complete the sections each week. I think the strategies of how to take the exam and answer the questions was done well. Doing multiple choice problems in class and then discussing them and the thought process that would get you to the right answer was very helpful. The learning questions we did in class were really helpful for me to gauge my understanding on the topics covered in our videos. Going over bar tips such as how to approach different kinds of questions has also been super helpful, as this is not something that is generally discussed in other courses. Professor Ciarimboli ' s practical advice on how to better prepare for the bar. The way the modules were set up really caters to my way and style of learning. I was able to complete the assignments on my own time and never felt rushed. The amount of time each assignment would take was listed on the syllabus so I was able to use my time effectively The info not only on the subjects we were learning, but strategies on how to take the bar More practice questions available. I know you can retake the old quizzes and midterms, but i don ' t feel like that ' s a great use of time as answers stick in your head. I really enjoyed the overall combination or modules, practice problems, practice essays and how we also got practice time in class. Prof. ' s Ciarimboli ' s teaching style was super effective in helping me understand the material. She was interesting, funny, empathetic, and super super smart. She was always brought such good energy to the classroom and instantly put me in a good mood, even if she was talking about super stressful subjects (like the bar exam). I also greatly benefitted from the BARBRI homework and graded assignments which kept me accountable. I loved that she weaved in general motivational life tips with this class-it almost felt like a combination of a bar prep class with a motivational speaker. I really appreciated Prof. Ciarimboli ' s clarity and her use of initial learning questions to not only teach how to approach multiple choice questions but also reinforce what we had learned in the lectures and in class. Weekly modules helped keep me on track and learning techniques of how to approach multiple choice questions has been extremely helpful. I never had a strategy before with multiple choice and I ' ve done fine for the most part but with bar questions not so much. This method has been very helpful and the repetition of it in every class has helped solidify it. The review of questions in class was very helpful. The hybrid format, particularly the videos which I could not just press play and walk away from,
