OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

In what way(s) did this course benefit your professional or intellectual development? It broadened my understanding of the pieces of the broader trade market. I thought the class focused on a really practical approach to Admiralty Law which I appreciated. It wasn ' t so casebook-heavy and rather emphasized the day-to-day of being an admiralty attorney. I learned a ton of info more generally about vessels as well as the government agencies that have oversight of marine activities (i.e., coast guard). As someone who isn ' t very good with engineering or knowledgable about "ship lingo" I was able to get a better handle on what issues might arise, and how the law would address those issues. While I took this class for fun, admiralty law seems like a unique, interesting practice area that would be neat down the road to explore a little more.
