Below are the responses to the three open-ended questions asked regarding the instructor and the course. Please note, student responses have not been edited in any way. Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? Nothing. Professor Burstein was the least effective professor I have ever had in my in 4 years of undergrad or 1 semester of law school. The TA Nathan! He is the best The TA’s review session recordings/PowerPoint slides. It is seen early on how important civil procedure is to law overall. I knew it was important to understand the material as best as I could. Nathan Andrews the TA was the main help, his slides really helped clarify Nothing, professor Burstein was the least ineffective professor I have ever had. Nothing she did in the classroom helped enhance my learning. The textbook was fairly informative. The readings and the TA ' s review sessions and powerpoints were the most effective. Not sure. The TA and Barbri provided a platform to understand the course material I appreciated Professor Burstein ' s energetic demeanor, and I did feel that the readings and caseload were fair. I also enjoyed the TA very much, as he was incredibly helpful. The TA review sessions were extremely helpful. The TA. I believe that the most information I gained about civil procedure was from our section TA, Nathan Andrews. I think the textbook we had for this class was incredibly difficult and complex. It was difficult for students to read and left many of us purchasing the Gannon Guide because we were so confused. It is also frustrating that Professor Burstein kept telling us "out book is our universe" and we shouldn ' t be using anything else. This left students feel very distraught The only reason I am leaving this class with any semblance of an understanding of the course material is all due to the hard work of the TA, Nathan, who went above and beyond by scheduling extra reviews and office hours and making himself available constantly. Nothing that was taught within the classroom was of any help to understanding Civil Procedure. Perhaps if we were studying patent law this course may have been a success, because that seemed to be all we talked about. There is no aspect of Professor Burstein ' s teaching style which enhanced my learning in any way. I taught myself a majority of the material because her teaching style is so ineffective. The reviews sessions from our TA and the midterm helped me enhance what I ' ve learned because the because if we don ' t understand our universe, how will we succeed.
