OLDFall 2022 Law School Course Evaluations

Below are the responses to the three open-ended questions asked regarding the instructor and the course. Please note, student responses have not been edited in any way. Blank pages indicate no response for that question. What aspect(s) of the course or instruction enhanced your learning? The guest speakers Judge Sinnott brought in several guest lecturers who were able to contextualize ethical obligations of lawyers in different fields, which was a nice learning enhancement. The guest speakers made the class so interesting and provided students with a realistic perspective of career opportunities available to us. Having the different guest speakers on the different topics. It helped my undersanding of the ethical responsibilities for lawyers. Interactions with lawyers from various fields during the course of the class also heled my learning. Professor Sinnott posited professional responsibility in a very interesting way. It made the material much easier to learn. It was nice to learn the material of professional responsibility through real world examples rather than a book of rules. The guest speakers were awesome. They provided real life examples of and testimony to ethical dilemmas that lawyers often face in practice. Relating to each student. Judge Sinnott ' s approach to this class is one I will not soon forget. The guests each week were incredibly interesting and gave unique perspectives to all aspects of the legal profession. I look forward to recommending Judge Sinnott ' s section of this course to Suffolk students in the future.
