Practice Materials

The Law Library subscribes to a number of resources that will help you better understand areas of law that you might be unfamiliar with and hit the ground running at your jobs, clinics, and internships. For example, MCLE OnlinePass provides commentary on the law in the form of webcasts, books, checklists, and forms.

Legal Research Trainings and Courses

Throughout the year, the Law Library offers numerous trainings. Some of these trainings are designed to be brief — 20 minutes tops — and will help you with a range of skills, from using Word to format efficiently, to enhancing your understanding of ALWD and Bluebook citations, to learning how to better tackle LPS assignments. Check the Law Library’s website for more details. Want one -on-one individualized training this summer? Contact the research desk (lawref@suffolk.edu) and a Legal Research Librarian would be happy to meet with you via Zoom. The Law Librarians also teach a number of 2-credit advanced legal research courses each year, such as Massachusetts Legal Research and International & Comparative Legal Research.
