LAW COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

LAW-2220 International Law Prof. Sara A. Dillon, 3 credits day; 3 credits evening.

Students may choose to substitute a paper for the final take home examination.

A survey of public international law, its nature, sources, and application. Some or all of the following topics will be addressed: international agreements, international organizations, including the United Nations, states and recognition, nationality and alien rights, territorial and maritime jurisdiction, state responsibility and international claims, including expropriation and the act of state doctrine, the laws of war, and the developing law of human rights.
